The Alvis TA 21 was a series of cars that was introduced in 1950. The TA 21 shared many components with its predecessor, the Alvis TA 14, but importantly, it featured a new 3.0L inline six engine. This engine generated 83hp, which it sent to the rear wheels via a 4 speed manual transmission. Two body styles were offered, a saloon, which was built by the coachbuilder Mulliners of Birmingham, and a drophead coupe, which was created by Tickford. Production of the Alvis TA 21 lasted until 1953, when it was replaced by the Alvis TC 21.
