In 1999, the <a href="https://www.classic.com/m/aston-martin/db7/">Aston Martin DB7</a> received a substantial facelift as well as a new V12 powerplant. This updated DB7 is known as the DB7 Vantage. These cars were offered in both <a href="https://www.classic.com/m/aston-martin/db7/vantage/coupe/">Coupe</a> and <a href="https://www.classic.com/m/aston-martin/db7/vantage/volante/">Volante</a> (Aston&#39;s name for convertibles) body styles, and were built in rear wheel drive configuration. The DB7 Volante was powered by a 414hp 5.9L V12 engine that was paired to a 6 speed manual or 5 speed automatic transmission. Production of the Aston Martin DB7 Volante ended in 2004 when the model was replaced by the <a href="https://www.classic.com/m/aston-martin/db9/">Aston Martin DB9</a>.
