In 1971, Bentley introduced the Corniche. Largely based on the Rolls-Royce Corniche, the new Bentley model was available as a coupe or convertible, and was powered by a 6.8L V8 engine. The Bentley Corniche saw just 140 examples produced (63 coupe, 77 convertible). Production of the Bentley Corniche convertible ended in 1982, but the coupe continued until 1984. The Corniche would eventually be renamed and would go on to be known as the Bentley Continental Convertible.
