Bentley Turbo R (1985 to 1996)

When the Bentley Turbo R was introduced, the standard offering was the short-wheelbase Turbo R, more commonly referred to as simply Turbo R. These sedans were powered by a turbocharged 6.75L V8 engine with an output of 300hp that powered the rear wheels through an automatic transmission. Production of the short-wheelbase, or standard Turbo R lasted until 1996, although Bentley continued to use the Turbo R name, but now for the long-wheelbase version (previously known as the Turbo RL).
