Benz Star (1899 to 1905)

The Star Benz was a lightweight touring car produced by Benz & Cie. between 1899 and 1905. Powered by a 2.0L twin-cylinder engine producing 8 to 10 horsepower, it could reach speeds of around 25 - 28 mph.  Featuring an open phaeton or occasional landaulet body, the Star Benz combined practical design with reliable engineering. It represented Benz’s effort to offer a more accessible, agile automobile while maintaining the quality of their luxury models.
