The Benz Velo was produced from 1894 to 1902 and was one of the world's first mass-produced automobiles. The Benz Velo was powered by a single-cylinder 1.0-liter engine. Early versions delivered around 1.5 hp, later increasing to 3 hp, enabling top speeds of up to 19 mph (30 km/h). It featured rear-wheel drive, a 2- or 3-speed manual transmission, and was equipped with solid or pneumatic tires. With over 1,200 units built. the Velo laid the groundwork for modern vehicle production.
