The BMW 116i was a variant of the F20 BMW 1 Series that debuted for the 2012 model year. The 116i was available as a 5 door hatchback. Depending on the model year, it was available with two different powertrains: 1.6L twin-turbo N13 inline four engine with 136hp, and starting with the 2015 facelift a 1.5L twin-turbo B38 inline three engine with 109hp. Both were offered with rear-wheel drive and a 6-speed manual or 8-speed automatic transmission. Production of the F20 BMW 116i lasted until 2019.
