The BMW X5 M was a performance focused variant of the G05 BMW X5 that debuted for the 2020 model year. The X5 M was offered in a four door SUV body style, with a raft of upgrades over standard models such as larger brakes and uprated suspension. These cars were powered by BMW's S63 engine, which was a 4.4L twin-turbo V8 powerplant. In standard specification, this engine was rated at 600hp, but with the Competition Package, output was increased to 617hp. Drive from the engine was sent to all four wheels through an 8 speed automatic transmission.
