Created as the successor to the 401/402, the Bristol 403 was built from 1953-1955. While it shares many styling facets with its older siblings, the 403 was still unique. The power output of the 2.0L inline-six engine found in the 403 was significantly increased compared to previous models. Other improvements included a new anti-roll bar to increase handling capability and brakes that cooled more efficiently. After producing just 287 of the two-door sports coupes, Bristol discontinued production of the model in favor of the newly designed 404/405, which made its debut in 1954.
