Bugatti Type 57 - Base (1934 to 1940)

Bugatti introduced their new sports car, the Type 57, in 1934. Styled by Jean Bugatti, the base Type 57 was an all new design, and was available in a handful of body styles. These body styles include the Stelvio (four seat cabriolet), the Ventoux (two door, four seat coupe), and the Galibier (four door saloon). The most famous and well known body style was the two door, two seat Type 57 Atalante. As was common at the time, coachbuilders would also be commissioned to create their own designs on a rolling chassis. Powered by a 3.2.L straight eight engine, the Type 57 was capable of world class performance during its era.
