The fourth main variant of the Bugatti Veyron was the Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse. Introduced for the 2013 model year, the Grand Sport Vitesse was a targa top version of the Veyron Super Sport. Featuring the same 1,184hp 8.0L quad turbo W16 engine as fitted to the Super Sport, the Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse was the fastest open top production car in the world during its production. The Grand Sport Vitesse saw numerous special editions created, such as the world record celebrating Grand Sport Vitesse SE and the Grand Sport Vitesse La Finale. Bugatti also introduced a run of 6 Grand Sport Vitesse Legends cars dedicated to racing legends. These cars are named after Jean-Pierre Wimille, Jean Bugatti, Meo Costantini, Rembrandt Bugatti, and Ettore Bugatti. A "Black Bess" Legend Vitesse was also created, named for the famous Bugatti Type 18 car. Production of the Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse ended in 2015.
