The sixth generation of Cadillac DeVille was introduced for the 1985 model year, and was offered as a series of luxury sedans and coupes. The sixth generation DeVille saw the model downsized, yet still available with a range of V6 and V8 engines. Production of the 5th gen DeVille continued until 1993, when the Seventh Generation Cadillac DeVille was introduced.
