The sixth generation of Cadillac Series 62 was introduced for the 1959 model year. This new generation of the Series 62 was offered as a 6.4L V8 powered sedan, coupe, or convertible. Earlier variants such as the DeVille and Eldorado were spun off into their own models starting in 1959. Production of the sixth generation continued until 1960 when it was replaced by the Seventh Generation Cadillac Series 62.
