The Yenko Camaro was a series of high performance First Generation Chevrolet Camaros. Introduced in 1967, the Yenko Camaro was created by Don Yenko, a former race car driver and owner of the Yenko Chevrolet dealership. The Yenko Camaro was created by taking an SS Camaro and fitting it with a raft of improvements, and most notably, it was fitted with the Corvette's 'L72' 427 V8 (7.0L) engine. Around 370 total examples are believed to have been produced until 1969.
