Chevrolet Camaro ZL-1 - 6th Gen (2017 to 2024)

Starting in 2017 Chevrolet brought back the ZL1 for the 6th Gen Camaro with more horsepower and handling than previously seen. Chevrolet had just used the ZL1 name for the 5th Gen Camaro ZL1 with great success. The famed ZL-1 name first appeared on the First Generation Camaro ZL1, which was secretly known among racers as Chevrolet's top of the line 60’s high performance variant. The new ZL1 still came standard with the sought after Magnetic Ride Control (MRC), and they were also 220lbs lighter than the previous generation. The 6th Gen ZL1 now included the more powerful supercharged LT4 6.2L V8 that is shared with the Corvette Z06 and Cadillac CTS-V, producing an advertised 650hp. A 6-speed manual or a 10 speed automatic transmission were optional. For the first time, the 1LE handling package was also an option on the ZL1. The 1LE option was avaiable as a 6 speed manual only, but also included adjustable Multimatic spool-valve shocks with aluminum bushings, which made the ZL1 1LE more than a straight line performer, and aurguably one of the best handling Chevrolet products ever.
