Chevrolet Chevy II / Nova - 3rd Gen(1968 to 1974)

The third generation of Chevrolet Chevy II was introduced for the 1968 model year. While still offered as a compact model, the third generation saw the Chevy II grow in size, and lose a number of body styles. Only coupes, hatchbacks, and sedans were available for this generation. In 1969, Chevrolet decided the rename the Chevy II, now calling the model the Nova, after what had been the top trim level for the Chevy II previously. The top variant was the Nova Super Sport (SS) which featured a 295hp 5.7L V8 engine. Production of the third generation of Chevrolet Chevy II / Nova ended in 1974 with the introduction of the Fourth Generation Chevrolet Nova.
