Chevrolet Impala - 7th Gen (1977 to 1985)

The seventh generation of Chevrolet Impala debuted for the 1977 model year. This latest Impala saw the model noticeably downsize, with smaller cars than previous generations. Just three body styles were offered, with coupes, sedans, and station wagons built. This family of rear wheel drive cars was powered by a range of engines, including a standard 230 inline six engine (until 1980, when a 3.8L V6 became the standard engine), and a variety of V8 units. Production of the seventh generation Impala lasted until 1985, when the model was discontinued. In 1994, the name would reappear for the Eighth Generation Chevrolet Impala.
