DeSoto Firedome - 1st Gen (1952 to 1954)

The first generation of DeSoto Firedome debuted for the 1952 model year. This first generation of Firedome was offered as a coupe, sedan, station wagon, or convertible, and was powered by DeSoto's first V8 engine, a 276ci (4.5L) 'Hemi' V8 producing 160hp. Both manual and automatic transmissions were available on the first generation Firedome, which was built until 1954. The first generation was replaced by the Second Generation DeSoto Firedome.
