As well as updated styling, this new generation featured a 1975 exclusive coupe variant as well as the station wagon and sedan variants. Three V8 (5.2L, 5.9L, 6.6L) options were offered alongside a 3.7L inline six unit, although a police exclusive 7.2L V8 was also produced. In 1976, Dodge discontinued the Coronet, replacing the model with the Dodge Monaco.
