The Dodge Journey was introduced in 2008 as a midsize, 4-door SUV that shared the same platform as the Avenger and Caravan. However, in order to compete in international markets, the vehicle was rebranded as the Fiat Freemont before being offered for sale in foreign markets. The automobile was offered throughout its production run with a choice of diesel, four-cylinder, and six-cylinder gasoline engines and a front-mounted engine with front-wheel or AWD drive. Dodge also offered the car with manual and automatic transmissions. In addition, three trim levels were also available, SE, SXT, and R/T. The Journey was discontinued from the Dodge model line in 2020.
