Ferrari 412 - Automatic (1986 to 1989)

The Ferrari 412 - Automatic (a/k/a 412 A) was part of the final iteration of a series of V12 2+2 grand tourers that included the 365 GT4 2+2, the Ferrari 400, and the 400i. Made between 1986 and 1989, it was the beneficiary of various improvements acheived during its previous iterations. Although it inherited the fuel injected V12 from its predecessor, displacement increased to 4.9 liters (compared to 4.8 liters) with a bump in power to 335 HP. This power was sent to the rear wheels through a GM THM400 3-speed automatic transmission. Ferrari produced a total of 576 samples of the Ferrari 412, out of which 306 were automatic and the rest were Ferrari 412 Manual. Production ended in 1989 without a direct successor, until the arrival of the Ferrari 456 in 1994.
