In its second year of production (2016), the Ferrari 488 was offered in a convertible hardtop Spider body style. Featuring the same (3.9L) twin-turbo mid-rear mounted V8 of the 488 family, it performs the same as the GTB but instead gives its owners a chance to hear all 661 horsepower uninhibited while singing to 8,000 rpm. The Spider comes with the same seven-speed F1 style dual-clutch transmission sending power to the rear wheels. 2020 was the last year of production for the 488 Spider.
