Ferrari Daytona Competizione (1969 to 1973)

The Competizione was the racing version of the iconic Ferrari Daytona grand tourer produced between 1968 and 1973. It was developed in three small series by Ferrari and Michelotto, retaining the two door coupe body style with lightweight aluminum bodies, rear-wheel drive and a 5 speed manual transmission. Only 15 units were produced by the factory, with an unknown number converted thereafter. Its engine was the 4.4L V12, powered from the 352hp of the road model to between 400hp and 460hp in competition trim, depending on the series. The Daytona Competizione cars achieved outstanding results in endurance races such as the 24 Hours of Le Mans, successfully competing against much more modern rivals and establishing themselves as one of Ferrari's most iconic GT cars of the 1970s. Given the varying provenance of these vehicles, each one should be evaluated on a case by case basis.
