Ford Fairlane - 2nd Gen (1957 to 1959)

The second generation of Ford Fairlane was introduced for the 1957 model year. This new generation of Fairlane saw the model gain a sleeker look, as well as notable rear tailfins. Ford offered this generation in two trim levels, 'Fairlane' (base), and 'Fairlane 500' (premium). Six unique body styles were offered for the Fairlane: two door hardtop, two door convertible, two door sedan, four door hardtop, four door sedan, and the notable two door retractable convertible (Fairlane 500 Skyliner). A standard 3.7L inline six engine was available alongside a range of optional V8 units. Production of the second generation continued until 1959, when Ford unveiled the Third Generation Fairlane.
