Hudson Italia (1954 to 1955)

The Hudson Italia is a series of limited production cars introduced for the 1954 model year. The Italia was created in collaboration with Carrozzeria Touring, and was originally intended to be a concept car mirroring what Chrysler and Ghia had done with their Idea Cars. Based on the Hudson Jet, and featuring a 3.3L inline six engine, the Italia was intended for a 50 example production run, yet due to poor reception of the expensive model, only 26 were ever built.
