The Humber Super Snipe was launched in October 1938 with its First Generation. It combined the 4.0L inline six engine of the Pullman with the chassis and body of the Snipe. These rear wheel drive cars were offered as 4-door saloons, sport saloons and drophead coupes. With the outbreak of World War II, the Super Snipe continued in production as a British military command car, known as the Car, 4-seater, 4x2, and its chassis was also used for the Humber Light Reconnaissance Car. The Humber Super Snipe 1st Gen was produced up to 1940.
