The first generation of Infiniti G debuted for the 1991 model year, and was known as the P10. The P10 generation of G was based on the Nissan Primavera, and was only offered in one variant, the G20. The G20 was available in a four door sedan body style, and was powered by a Nissan's SR20DE engine, which was a 2.0L inline four. This engine had an output of 140hp which was sent to the front wheels through a 5 speed manual or 4 speed automatic transmission. Production of the first generation Infiniti G ended in 1996, eventually being replaced for the 1999 model year by the Second Generation Infiniti G (P11).
