The Intermeccanica Indra was a series of sports cars that was introduced in 1971. These cars were offered in convertible, coupe, and 2+2 coupe body styles, and were powered by 327 (5.4L) or 351 (5.8L) Chevrolet V8 engines, which were paired to manual or automatic transmissions. The Indra was only built for a short time as General Motors decided against supplying other manufacturers with engines. Just a total of 127 examples (60 convertibles, 40 coupes, 27 2+2s) were built before the end of production in 1974.
