The Iso Rivolta was a series of grand tourers introduced in 1962. The Rivolta was Iso's first luxury car, and it was offered in a coupe body style designed by the legendary Giorgetto Guigiaro. These coupes were created to combine luxury and performance, and were powered by a Chevrolet-sourced 5.4L V8 engine that sent power to the rear wheels through manual or automatic transmission options. The standard Rivolta was known as the IR 300, named for its 300hp, while a highly tuned performance variant known as the IR 340 was introduced in 1964. Production of the Iso Rivolta ended in 1970, with a total of 964 examples built (797 IR 300, 167 IR 340).
