Isotta Fraschini Tipo 8A (1924 to 1931)

The Tipo 8A was introduced by Isotta Fraschini in 1924. Known for its elegance, exclusivity and performance, it became a status symbol among aristocrats, movie stars and influential figures of the time. With a 3-speed manual transmission and power sent to the rear wheels, the Tipo 8A had a 7.4L inline eight that gave it a maximun speed of approximately 150km/h. Like the Tipo 8, the Tipo 8A was sold as a chassis and engine only, allowing customers to commission exclusive bodies from manufacturers such as Castagna, Touring, Sala and Zagato. Equipped with high-end details, including leather interiors, fine wood and advanced technology for the time, the Tipo 8A had two improved variants that were introduced in 1926: Spinto (S) and Super Spinto (SS). Although they kept the same engine, these versions offered more power and sportiness. The Isotta Fraschini Tipo 8A was produced until 1931.
