The Jaguar XJ13 was a one-off prototype racing car developed by Jaguar to compete in Le Mans in the 1960s. It was created as a mid-engined, V12 5.0L, 502 hp prototype, and was developed with the help of famed drivers David Hobbs and Richard Atwood. In 1971, the car was going to be used for a publicity stunt to help the launch of the Series 3 E-Type with the new V12 engine and was damaged in a crash. Jaguar had the car reconstructed and announced that the repaired car would not be the same as the original. Nevertheless, and despite the fact that it never raced, many independent companies have created replicas of the post-crash car.
