The Jensen C-V8 was a range of grand tourers that were introduced for the 1963 model year. The C-V8 was offered as a rear wheel drive four seat coupe, although two open top versions were built, one a Sedanca with a folding roof over the front seats, and one a full convertible. These drive cars were initially powered by a Chrysler-sourced 5.9L V8 engine, but starting in 1964, a larger 6.3L V8 unit was used. These engines were paired with both manual and automatic transmissions, and sent power to the rear wheels. The C-V8 was built in three evolutions: Mk I (1963), Mk II (1964-1965), and Mk III (1966). A total of 500 examples were built before production of the Jensen C-V8 ended in 1966.
