The first generation of Jensen-Healey debuted for the 1972 model year. Known as the Mk I, the first generation Jensen-Healey featured a simple interior largely bereft of wooden trim, and are most easily distinguished by the square headlight cowl. Like all Jensen-Healeys, the Mk I was powered by a Lotus-sourced 2.0L inline four engine, and was only available as a convertible two seater. Production of the Jensen-Healey Mk I lasted until 1973, and it was replaced by the Jensen-Healey Mk II.
