Introduced in 1968, the Lamborghini Miura P400S, or Miura S, is the first evolution of the P400. Featuring various tweaks and improvements on the previous model, the P400S was the most popular Miura, with 338 cars sold. Mechanically, changes such as re-profiled camshafts and larger intake manifolds improved performance, giving the P400S a boost of 20hp. Visually, the original Bertone design was largely unchanged, with chrome trim added to exterior elements such as the windows and headlights. The interior of the S featured power windows, and a new overhead console, along with other small tweaks such as the repositioning of the cigarette lighter and windshield wiper switch. This overall improved package allowed the P400S to continue to growing the already established legend of the Lamborghini Miura.
