Presented in parallel with its Coupe sibling, the LP640 Roadster was introduced in 2006. This updated Murciélago roadster was very similar to the coupe upon which it was based. Most of the differences apart from the cloth roof are under the body, and most of those differences are aimed at maintaining the same torsional rigidity as the hardtop, such as the implementation of a strengthened engine reinforcement structure.
