In 2006, Lamborghini introduced their updated Murciélago, the LP640. Powered by an updated 6.5L V12 engine, the LP640 produced 640hp, thus the name of the car. Featuring various improvements from the Base Model, the LP640 was not only more comfortable, but more capable. The car had an updated interior, as well as great headroom. It also received exterior revisions such as updated front and rear bumpers, and a single trapezoidal exhaust pipe. All of these revisions and updates added up to a more powerful and refined Murciélago, making the LP640 a great example of the Lamborghini flagship. Cars in this market were equipped with a 6-speed "E-Gear" automated manual transmission.
