In 1999, the Murciélago finally received the Super Veloce treatment. The LP670-4 SV was the most extreme and track oriented Murciélago made by Lamborghini. Featuring the most potent version of Lamborghini's 6.5L V12, the SV had no shortage of power, and with extensive weight saving measures, the LP670-4 was the most dynamically capable Murciélago created. Visually, the SV is easily distinguishable from other variants due to its aggressive front bumper and diffuser at the back. As Lamborghini's last Murciélago produced before being replaced by the Aventador, the LP670-4 SV served as a fitting swansong to the model. Originally planned for a run of 350 examples, only a total of 186 Lamborghini Murciélago LP670-4 were made.
