Land Rover Discovery (1989 to 2016)

The Land Rover Discovery was introduced in 1989. A range of off-road family SUVs, the Discovery was one of the first cars to combine true off road capability with the capacity to carry a family in comfort. Originally based on the Land Rover Range Rover, the Discovery has evolved to be its own model, and one of Land Rover's most well known cars. The Discovery has been built in five generations: Discovery 1 (1989-1998), Discovery 2 (1998-2004), Discovery 3 (2005-2009), Discovery 4 (2010-2016), and Discovery 5 (2017-2025). Although the Discovey has been produced over multiple generations, at CLASSIC.COM we track sales from the 1st Gen to the 4th Gen, up to the model year 2016.
