Land Rover is a British automotive manufacturer. Land Rover was originally the name for a series of off road vehicles built by the Rover Company. Over time Land Rover became its own make, known for producing high quality off road sports utility vehicles. The company is well known for producing models such as the Series I, Series II, Defender, and Discovery. Land Rover also launched the Range Rover in 1969. A highly influential model, the Range Rover has gone on to spawn a series of high end luxury SUVs such as the Range Rover Sport and the Range Rover Evoque. While Land Rover has gone through a handful of owners since its inception, the comany's reputation for building high quality luxury off road vehicles has never wavered.
