Land Rover Series II (1958 to 1961)

The Land Rover Series II was introduced in 1958. This new generation of the Land Rover featured updated styling, as well as many available features to make a more comfortable and usable drivers car. Like the Series I before it, the Series II was available as a short wheelbase (SWB) or long wheelbase (LWB) model. Initially fitted with its predecessor's 2.0L inline four, the Series II was soon available with the well known 2.25L inline four engine which would feature in a large number of Land Rovers. The Series II Land Rover was produced until 1961, when it was replaced by the Land Rover Series IIA.
