The Lexus SC300 was a variant of the Z30 SC that debuted for the 1992 model year. The SC 300 was powered by Toyota's 2JZ-GE engine, which was a 3.0L inline six which had an output of 225hp and 210 lb ft of torque. From the 1998 model year, this engine was upgraded with VVT (Variable Valve Timing) which saw an improved powerband, as well as an increased torque figure of 220 lb ft. Drive from the engine was sent to the rear wheels via a 5 speed manual or 4 speed automatic transmission. Production of the Z30 Lexus SC300 ended in 2000.
