These new luxury cars were available in coupe or convertible body styles and were powered by a 4.8L V12 engine with an output of 120hp. Production of the 1st Gen Continental stopped in 1942 due to the outbreak of WW2. After the war, production started again in 1946 and lasted until 1948, when Ford reorganized its brand structure, and introduced the Continental Mark II.
