The Lincoln Mark III, also known as the Continental Mark III, was introduced for the 1969 model year. A series of luxury coupes, the Mark III was created and named to be the spiritual successor to the Continental Mark II. The Mark III was available with a 7.5L V8 engine and was produced until 1971 when it was replaced by the Lincoln Mark IV. The Mark III is not to be confused with the earlier 1958 Continental Mark III.
