The Lotus Carlton is a tuned performance sedan produced by Lotus. The Carlton was a sedan built by Vauxhall, but also sold as the Opel Omega. These performance sedans are also known as the Vauxhall Lotus Carlton, and the Opel Lotus Omega. Visually, there are a few clues to the sporty nature of the car, including the rear spoiler, subtle bodykit, and Lotus badging. Built at the Lotus factory, the Carlton featured a 3.6L twin turbo inline six engine, as well as chassis and drivetrain improvements in order to cope with the more capable powerplant. Production of the Lotus Carlton ended in 1992, yet there were a handfull of examples sold in 1993.
