McLaren 540C (2016 to 2021)

The McLaren 540C is what some would consider the "entry-level" car for the British manufacturer. For an entry-level car, it is impressive. McLaren placed the 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8 engine in the middle of the car, behind the two seats. The powerplant delivers 540hp to the rear wheels through a seven-speed gearbox McLaren calls an SSG (Seamless Shift Gearbox). The sound and the umbrage created by the drivetrain are burrowed into a carbon fiber mono-cell body weighing in at around 3,000 lbs. This entry-level car sprints to 62 mph in just 3.5 seconds.
