Introduced for the 1962 model year, the 190Dc was available in a four door sedan body style, and was powered by Mercedes' OM621 engine. This 1.9L diesel inline four engine generated 54hp, which was sent to the rear wheels via a four speed manual transmission. The 190Dc proved more successful than its gasoline powered sibling, the 190c, selling almost twice as many, with a total of 225,645 examples built.
