Mercedes-Benz E240 - W210 (1998 to 2002)

The Mercedes-Benz E240 was a popular variant of the W210 E-Class Sedan that debuted for the 1997 model year. Initially, the E240 was fitted with Mercedes' M112 E 24 engine, which was a 168hp and 166 lbf⋅ft of torque 2.4L V6, but from the 2000 model year onwards, Mercedes used their new M112.E 26 unit. This new engine was a 2.6L V6 with the same 168hp but 181 lbf⋅ft of torque. This variant was available with a manual or automatic transmission driving power to the rear wheels. The W210 Mercedes-Benz E240 was replaced by the next generation W211 Mercedes-Benz E240.
