The Mercedes-Benz E430 4MATIC was a variant of the W210 E-Class Sedan that debuted for the 1998 model year. The E 430 4MATIC replaced the previous W210 Mercedes-Benz E420, and was fitted with Mercedes' new M113.940 engine. This 4.3L V8 had an output of 279hp and 295 lb ft of torque. This power drove all four wheels via a 5 speed automatic transmission. A rear wheel drive version of the E430 4MATIC was also available and was known as the W210 Mercedes-Benz E430. Production of the W210 Mercedes-Benz E430 4MATIC ended in 2002.
