The Mercedes-Benz E280 wagon was a popular variant of the S210 E-Class Wagon that debuted for the 1996 model year. Initially, the E280 wagon was fitted with Mercedes' M104 E28 engine, which was a 190hp 2.8L inline six, but from the 1998 model year onwards, Mercedes used their new M112 E28 unit. This new engine was a 2.8L V6 that had an output of 200hp and 200 lb ft of torque. Cars were fitted with manual or automatic transmissions. Regardless of the gearbox, drive was sent to the rear wheels. The W210 Mercedes-Benz E280 wagon ended production in 2002.
