The Mercedes-Benz E430 4MATIC was a variant of the S210 E-Class Wagon that debuted for the 1998 model year. The E 430 4MATIC was fitted with Mercedes' new M113.940 engine, which was a 4.3L V8 with an output of 279hp and 295 lb ft of torque. This engine was paired to a 5 speed automatic transmission which sent drive to all four wheels. A rear wheel drive version of the E430 4MATIC was also available and was known as the W210 Mercedes-Benz E430. Production of the S210 Mercedes-Benz E430 4MATIC ended in 2002.
